El Caballero Country Club takes the 2nd Annual SoCal Regional Competition hosted by Valencia Country Club
Teams from Birnam Wood, El Caballero Country Club, Mission Viejo Country Club, Pauma Valley Country Club and Valencia Country Club participated. In addition to golf, Valencia CC provided breakfast, lunch and drinks for the attendees. David Cardwell, Executive Director of the Society also gave a short presentation on Society happenings.
In golf results, the team from El Caballero Country Club won the rotating “Jones Cup” trophy with a combined team net score of 13 over par. Members of the El Cab team included Michael Greenfeld, Marc Cohen, Scott Miller, Ken Graiwer, Spencer Shiffman, Henry Weingarten, Drew Grey and Mark Catania. The Individual low-gross winner was Josh Almieri (Mission Viejo CC) with a even par, 72. The Individual low-net winner was Henry Weingarten (El Caballero CC) at -1 under par, net 71.
The Annual Gathering will be held at the famed Eisenhower Blue Course at the U.S. Airforce Academy, Sept 13-14. All members of RTJ Society Member Clubs are eligible to attend.
