Society inducts Fairview Country Club and Golden Horseshoe as its newest members
Fairview Country Club
Fairview Country Club of Greenwich CT was designed by RTJ Sr in 1968 and has a storied past. In addition to caddies Johnny Farrell, Tom Creavy, Tony Manero and Jim Turnesa (all major winners), the club has hosted several MGA championships. The club has numerous photos of the RTJ construction in the mid-60’s in its impressive clubhouse.
Golden Horseshoe Golf Club
Golden Horseshoe Golf Club becomes the Society’s 43rd member and is a perennial Top 100 public course. Designed by RTJ Sr. in 1964, the Golden course in the crown jewel of the Colonial Williamsburg resort experience. The Course was carefully renovated by Rees Jones to his father’s exacting standards. The island green 16th and par 4, 17th are among the top 500 holes in the World.
